            <description>Detectives are asking for the public’s help to catch a credit card thief. On Nov. 17, a credit card was stolen from a car parked at a day care center on Montgomery Highway. The next day, surveillance cameras caught a female suspect attempting to use the stolen card at a bank on Green Springs Highway.

            <description>On June 28th, 2009, at approximately 8:30 p.m. a wallet was stolen from the purse of a Walmart customer.             <title>HPD Detectives seeking residential burglary suspects</title>
            <description>Detectives are asking residents to be on the lookout for a 4 door, late 80’s Dodge or Chrysler, silver or blue in color. The vehicle has been described as very rusty and &quot;beat-up&quot; looking and missing both hubcaps on the right side revealing black rims.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This vehicle may have been involved in a recent residential burglary in the Highway 150 area near the Bessemer City limits. A nearby jurisdiction also had a recent burglary where a vehicle very similar to this one was parked in the driveway of the house that was burglarized. &lt;br /&gt;

The occupants of the vehicle were reported to be (3) three black males with no additional descriptive information available at this time.             <title>Homewood Police arrest suspect involved in Hoover car break-in</title>
            <description>On the night of April 1, 2009, an “unlawful breaking and entering of a motor vehicle” occurred at Wisteria Place (Cliff’s at Rocky Ridge Apartments). Stolen from the vehicle was a 12 gauge MOSSBERG shotgun with pistol grips.

On April 4, 2009, at 2:15 am, Homewood Police officers stopped a 1991 Chevrolet Caprice. Officers found the victim’s shotgun lying in the back seat of the vehicle along with a baseball bat which is believed to have been used for breaking car windows. Homewood Police will pursue a Receiving Stolen Property 2nd against the suspect in this crime.</description>

            <title>Assault 2nd Degree Arrest (Felony Assault)</title>
            <description>On February 26, 2009, shortly after 7:20pm, an assault occurred at Dale’s Southern Grill, located at 1843 Montgomery Highway. This assault involved employees only; no patrons were involved. The assault occurred in a non-public area of the restaurant. The suspect listed below cut the victim with a kitchen knife; the victim, who suffered non-life threatening injury, was treated at Brookwood Hospital. Investigation led to the identification of the following suspect:&lt;br /&gt;

On March 3, 2009, Hoover Police Department Detectives obtained a warrant for Assault 2nd Degree. Moreno-Santos was transported to the Jefferson County (Birmingham) Jail on March 29, 2009. He is being held on a $50,000 bond.</description>
